The light of the longest day
has travelled such a long way
Past planets and black holes
to warm the earth beneath my feet
The stone circle built by ancestors
with heart open and eyes to see
The sacredness of the turning of days
the absorption of light into skin
Everything rises to greet the sun
birds sing to her, flowers reach for her
Hearts lift to receive
in this energy we become aglow
Seeing at last the abundance
of what is miraculously possible
