Mabon

Taking place in the shift between summer and autumn where the day and night is of equal length.

There is so much emphasis on what inspires us, on what we can take in and take on board. On how inspirational we can be. This moment draws equal attention to the benefits of the exhale, of releasing and being ready to let go. It signifies the balance of paying as much attention and value to the exhale as we do to inspiration.

Mabon,
you are the long exhale
you open the door of letting go
in the release all this space
opens up around us
the fringes of the day are about to draw in
the bookends of night grow thicker

We,
in our doorways
carry within us a harvest
a gathered storeroom
of all that has inspired

We,
are full, no more breaths in

We already have everything we need
as the days tip toward darkness
